Sliding tables are installed on the left side of the blade and are used to prevent the workpiece from rotating as it's cut, providing a more accurate cut. Feed supports are installed on the outfeed side of the table to support long workpieces and sheet goods after they're cut, preventing the workpiece from falling off the table and lifting off the blade.
