It is also intended for use in steam engine cylinder applications, and is formulated from high quality base stocks that resist oxidation, thermal degradation, and harmful deposit build-up from steam cylinders. It protects against rust and corrosion, provides good film strength, and helps to resist water washout. Use in worm gear and steam cylinder applications, couplings, and bearings.
