PIG® Quick Dam Water-Activated Sandbags help you contain and divert floodwater to protect your facility as an alternative to heavy sandbags. Flat sacks contain super-absorbent polymer powder that swells on contact with water to form a solid, heavy barrier. Dry, unactivated product is lightweight, compact, and easy to handle; place in flood-prone areas when you know water is coming. Eliminates the mess, heavy lifting, and manual labor of filling standard bags with sand. Reusable for up to 8 months; Quick Dams dry out and shrink to their original size and weight as water evaporates. Nontoxic, nonhazardous, and biodegradable. Stack and stagger bags up to 3 rows high; build even higher retaining walls by using a pyramid layout. Not for use with saltwater.
