When activated, factory-set overload protection will not let hoist operate, but allows operator to lower load (if lifting) or release load (if pulling). Overload protection resets itself; never needs resetting or recalibrating. Hand-wheel design enables hand chain to feed directly into wheel sprocket from any direction or angle. Lower block has a thrust bearing, allowing easy rotation of a suspended load without twisting load chain. Fully enclosed gearing protects gears from debris and contamination. Gears and shafts run on roller bearings.
