This Square End Carbide End Mill from HAIMER® features Safe-Lock™ for high-performance machining. Difficult-to-machine materials place enormous demands on tool holding. Slow micro-creeping movement takes place as the tool is pulled out of the chuck due to a higher degree of axial forces. The Safe-Lock system uses special drive keys in the chuck and grooves of the tool shank to prevent the milling cutter from spinning or pulling out of the chuck during extreme machining. The design of Safe-Lock allows the tool to be shifted within the grooves for fewer problems. The combination of pull-out protection and best runout accuracy lead to low vibration and efficient machining. In addition, shrink-to-fit technology provides highly accurate clamping. Form-closed clamping creates high torque.
