This SilentSync® synchronous drive gearbelt can reduce drive size and weight when replacing traditional v-belt drives. Its rugged design features aramid fiber for strength and fatigue resistance and HiBrex® nitrile rubber compound for exceptional tooth rigidity and load carrying capacity.
Continental ContiTech engineered the SilentSync® drive system to reduce noise by 17 to 19dB and lessen vibration in high-horsepower drive applications. The proprietary Helical Offset Tooth (HOT) design lets the belt and sprocket (sold separately) merge into a compact, smooth synchronous drive. Rolling tooth engagement helps to reduce vibration and improve overall efficiency compared with straight-tooth synchronous belts.
