Cable Limiter Fuse KDH Series 600VAC MPN:KDH

Cable limiters isolate faulty cables and conductors to protect against short circuits in low-voltage distribution networks and electrical systems. They're commonly installed between a transformer and service entrance, on feeder circuits for heavy industrial and commercial loads, and on multiple single-conductor services in multiunit residential buildings. These fusible devices are current-limiting to prevent electrical damage by disconnecting circuits before they're exposed to the full magnitude and duration of an overcurrent. They are typically selected to match the cable or conductor size and have no ampere rating since they don't provide overload protection.
