Baffle filters are installed in exhaust hoods in commercial kitchens to trap airborne grease before it reaches the exhaust fan. This prevents grease from building up on the fan and the exterior building surface around where the fan vents.

Washable metal air filters have a metal frame and metal mesh filter media.
