The 3M™ Panel Bonding Adhesive is a 2-part epoxy adhesive for bonding replacement body panels. It is used to seal and bond steel, aluminum, Sheet Molded Compound (SMC), Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester (FRP) or traditional fiberglass, quarter panels, door skins, roof skins and box sides in a single operation. The adhesive helps reduce welding and riveting time. It also can be spot-welded through or used in conjunction with rivets, to help add reinforcement. With heat-accelerated curing, the adhesive helps afford long work times and reduced cycle time. Its corrosion-inhibiting formula helps protect work for long-lasting results. Even after it has been open, the adhesive has a long shelf life, to help reduce the cost of replacing unused product.
