This deheader cuts on the outside of the drum shell below the chime so smooth dent-free chimes are not required. Unit allows you to remove the entire drum top and/or bottom for flattening since flattened drums take up less space and prevent potential liability from future drum use. The model j deheads the drum in less than two minutes and the round cutter wheel cuts through dented chimes with ease. It also easily removes solidified contents with the ram compactor. Swivel connections prevent tangling. Note this deheader does not leave a burr-free edge. The manual air operated deheader is preferred in industrial settings where floors and work areas are wet. Standard cutting wheel is for use with conventional drums.
