Capture pollutants above the drain clean and bioremediate below the drain. The perfect stormwater management product has yet to be invented. Even under optimal conditions no product is going to capture 100% of pollutants. For those oils and gases that make it past the ultra-drain guard® and into the catch basin below we've added an ultra-archaea boom. The oil-eating microbes housed in this boom activate when exposed to water. Once activated they consume the hydrocarbons in the water and leave behind only harmless natural byproducts. The ultra-drain guard® archaea boom model provides protection above and below the storm drain. Features ul style"margin-top0px; padding-top 5px; padding-bottom 5px;" the dual component product includes an ultra-drain guard® to capture pollutants entering drain and an archaea boom to clean up the inside of the catch basin the ultra-drain guard® catch basin insert captures dirt sediment oil grease and other pollutants and stops them from entering the water system the ultra-archaea boom includes a 4' tether and is tied to a grommet in the bottom of the ultra-drain guard®. The boom floats on the water and oil-eating microbes are released to consume any hydrocarbons present
