Because of this, you may find that a Tekton 6 inch ratchet is slightly longer than other 6 inch ratchets on the market. The single half-moon pawl maintains 9 teeth engaged with the gear at all times, ensuring that it won't slip or skip under stress. The classic non-quick-release drive tang retains sockets with a spring-actuated detent ballpush the sockets onto the ratchet and pull to remove them. The handle's finger groove has pronounced interior edges for traction and control with any finger placement.
