The sunex 5081b 8 ton heavy duty flat bottom ram is a long stroke bottle jack used for farm applications but primarily for iem applications in manufacturing or engine cranes and handling equipment requiring long hydraulic stroke. It is designed with a ductile iron base for added strength coated with electrostatic paint for rust prevention and designed with larger ram diameters to withstand side loads. For your safety the sunex 5081b has a hydraulic bypass system prevents over extension of the ram. This model has a flat base but it can be converted to a pivot base by using the model 5085 pivot base adaptor (sold separately).
