The Acme Threaded Collar from Ruland is a precision-engineered component ideal for use in applications where high axial holding power and load-bearing capacity are critical. Its two-piece design allows for infinite adjustability and effortless installation, even in confined spaces. The collar's acme threading provides superior holding power compared to traditional threaded collars, while its controlled face-to-bore perpendicularity ensures accurate alignment and component positioning. Suitable for use in a variety of industries, including aerospace, medical, and industrial automation, this collar is manufactured from lead-free steel and features a fine, burr-free finish for extended shaft life and reduced maintenance.
Top product features:
Acme threading allows for higher axial holding power than traditional threaded collars.
The two-piece design allows this collar to be installed or serviced in-place without the need to remove adjacent components.
Threads are double tapped to ensure a burr-free finish which extends shaft life and allows for easier installation.
Ruland clamp style shaft collars do not mar the shaft, are infinitely adjustable, and have superior holding power when compared to set screw collars. This two-piece acme threaded shaft collar has a 1/2" - 10 TPI bore, 1 1/8" OD, and 0.406" width. Threads are double tapped to ensure a burr-free finish which extends shaft life and allows for easier installation. Acme threading allows for higher axial holding power than traditional threaded collars. Tightly controlled face to bore perpendicularity is maintained (TIR of < 0.002") which is critical when the collar is used as a load bearing face, mechanical stop, or for component alignment. The work surface is identified by one groove on the face allowing the user to easily identify which side is precision faced. The two-piece design allows this collar to be installed or serviced in-place without the need to remove adjacent components. Halves are mated throughout the manufacturing process for precise fit and increased holding power. This collar is stamped with the Ruland name and bore size for ease of identification. It is manufactured from 1215 lead-free steel to a fine burr-free finish with Ruland's proprietary black oxide formulation which creates a fine glossy appearance and increases holding power and corrosion resistance. Hardware tests beyond ANSI standards for maximum holding power. It is RoHS and REACH compliant.
