Ruland supplied Controlflex couplings are a lightweight, low inertia, and zero-backlash coupling designed for use in encoders, tachometers, resolvers, and light duty power transmission applications. This keyed clamp style single insert type hub requires the user to mate it with one other hub and one acetal insert. The multiple piece construction allows for a highly customizable coupling that easily combines clamp hubs with inch, metric, keyed, and keyless bores. This hub has a 0.375" bore, 3/32" keyway, 0.984" OD, and 0.374" length. The use of a keyway prevents the coupling from slipping on the shaft if over torqued. This single insert type has higher misalignment capabilities than double insert styles. It is compact and can fit in smaller envelopes than equivalent single beam or double insert Controlflex styles. It has a balanced design and can accommodate speeds of up to 22000 RPM. This Controlflex hub is RoHS and REACH compliant and manufactured by Schmidt Kupplung in Germany.
