This Ruland Keyed Shaft Collar is a precision-engineered component ideal for applications requiring high torque capacity and load-bearing capabilities. Its one-piece design and 8mm keyway enable use as a shaft collar or short rigid coupling, while its stainless steel construction ensures consistent corrosion resistance. The collar's tightly controlled face-to-bore perpendicularity and fine burr-free finish make it suitable for load-bearing faces, mechanical stops, and component alignment. With 25% more holding power than standard collars, this component is perfect for use in positive drive applications, machinery, and equipment where precision and reliability are paramount.
Top product features:
Infinitely adjustable to fit a variety of shaft diameters
Maintains tightly controlled face to bore perpendicularity (TIR of < 0.05mm) for critical applications
Has a keyway for positive drive applications, allowing for extra torque capacity when used as a rigid coupling
Top product applications:
Shaft alignment and positioning in precision machinery
Positive drive applications where a keyway is required
Load bearing face or mechanical stop in applications where precision is critical
Ruland clamp style shaft collars do not mar the shaft, are infinitely adjustable, and have superior holding power when compared to set screw collars. This one-piece double wide shaft collar has a 25mm bore, 8mm keyway, 45mm OD, and 33mm width. It has about 25% more holding power than standard round bore collars of equivalent bore size and can be used as a short rigid coupling in applications where standard length rigid couplings will not fit. The addition of a keyway allows for use in positive drive applications as a shaft collar or for extra torque capacity when used as a rigid coupling. Tightly controlled face to bore perpendicularity is maintained (TIR of < 0.05mm) which is critical when the collar is used as a load bearing face, mechanical stop, or for component alignment. The work surface is identified by two grooves on the face allowing the user to easily identify which side is precision faced. This collar is stamped with the Ruland name and bore size for ease of identification. It is manufactured from 303 stainless steel to a fine burr-free finish with hardware of like material for consistent corrosion resistance. Hardware tests beyond DIN 912 12.9 standards for maximum holding power. It is RoHS and REACH compliant.
