The Ruland Slit Coupling is a high-performance, zero-backlash coupling ideal for applications requiring high torsional stiffness and low vibration at speeds up to 10,000 RPM. Made from a single piece of aluminum, this set screw style coupling features two sets of slit cuts for low inertia and no maintenance. With increased torque and misalignment capabilities, it can accommodate all forms of misalignment and protect small sensitive bearings. Suitable for use in demanding applications such as high-speed machinery, robotics, and precision equipment, the Ruland Slit Coupling is a reliable and efficient solution for engineers and manufacturers seeking to minimize vibration and maximize performance.
Top product features:
Zero-backlash design for reduced vibration at high speeds up to 10,000 RPM.
Low inertia and high torsional stiffness when compared to beam couplings.
Accommodates all forms of misalignment with low bearing loads helping to protect small sensitive bearings.
This Ruland supplied slit coupling is zero-backlash and has a balanced design for reduced vibration at high speeds up to 10,000 RPM. The coupling is made from a single piece of aluminum and has two sets of slit cuts allowing for low inertia, no maintenance, and high torsional stiffness when compared to beam couplings. It is set screw style and has 5mm x 0.188" bores, 0.630" (16.0mm) OD, and 0.925" (23.50mm) length. This long slit coupling has increased torque and misalignment capabilities when compared to short styles. It can accommodate all forms of misalignment with low bearing loads helping to protect small sensitive bearings. This slit coupling is manufactured by Reliance Precision Ltd. in their facility in County Cork, Ireland and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
