Zero-backlash coupling
Balanced design for high-speed applications up to 25000 RPM
Ruland supplied Controlflex couplings are a lightweight, low inertia, and zero-backlash coupling designed for use in encoders, tachometers, resolvers, and light duty power transmission applications. This keyed clamp style double insert type hub requires the user to mate it with one other hub and two acetal inserts. The multiple piece construction allows for a highly customizable coupling that easily combines clamp hubs with inch, metric, keyed, and keyless bores. This hub has a 10mm bore, 3mm keyway, 19.0mm OD, and 5.6mm length. The use of a keyway prevents the coupling from slipping on the shaft if over torqued. This double insert type has higher torque capacity than single insert styles. It is longer than equivalent single insert Controlflex types to couple systems with wide distances between shaft ends. It has a balanced design and can accommodate speeds of up to 25000 RPM. This Controlflex hub is RoHS and REACH compliant and manufactured by Schmidt Kupplung in Germany.
