The Ruland Slit Coupling is a high-performance, zero-backlash coupling designed for demanding applications. Made from a single piece of aluminum, it features two sets of slit cuts for low inertia, no maintenance, and high torsional stiffness. With a balanced design and high speeds up to 7,500 RPM, it reduces vibration and extends bearing life. Ideal for applications requiring high torque and misalignment capabilities, such as machinery, pumps, and gearboxes. Its compact design and low bearing loads make it suitable for use in precision machinery and equipment, where reliability and precision are paramount.
Top product features:
Zero-backlash design for reduced vibration at high speeds
Has two sets of slit cuts allowing for low inertia and high torsional stiffness
Can accommodate all forms of misalignment with low bearing loads
Top product applications:
Power transmission in high-speed machinery
High-torque applications such as pumps and gearboxes
Precision machinery requiring low vibration and misalignment capabilities
This Ruland supplied slit coupling is zero-backlash and has a balanced design for reduced vibration at high speeds up to 7,500 RPM. The coupling is made from a single piece of aluminum and has two sets of slit cuts allowing for low inertia, no maintenance, and high torsional stiffness when compared to beam couplings. It is clamp style and has 10mm x 0.250" bores, 0.787" (20.0mm) OD, and 1.024" (26.00mm) length. This long slit coupling has increased torque and misalignment capabilities when compared to short styles. It can accommodate all forms of misalignment with low bearing loads helping to protect small sensitive bearings. This slit coupling is manufactured by Reliance Precision Ltd. in their facility in County Cork, Ireland and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
