The Ruland Keyed Collar is a high-performance shaft collar designed for demanding applications. Its two-piece double wide design provides superior holding power, with about 25% more grip than standard round bore collars. The addition of a keyway enables positive drive capabilities, making it ideal for use as a shaft collar or rigid coupling. Its tightly controlled face to bore perpendicularity ensures precise component alignment and load bearing capabilities. Manufactured from 303 stainless steel, this collar offers consistent corrosion resistance and is suitable for use in harsh environments. It's perfect for applications where precise shaft alignment and high torque capacity are required.
Top product features:
The product does not mar the shaft.
It has superior holding power when compared to set screw collars.
It is infinitely adjustable.
Top product applications:
Shaft alignment and positioning in machinery
Load bearing face or mechanical stop in applications where precision is critical
Positive drive applications such as gearboxes, gearmotors, or other machinery where a keyway is required for secure attachment
Ruland clamp style shaft collars do not mar the shaft, are infinitely adjustable, and have superior holding power when compared to set screw collars. This two-piece double wide shaft collar has a 0.8750" bore, 3/16" keyway, 1 5/8" OD, and 1 1/16" width. It has about 25% more holding power than standard round bore collars of equivalent bore size and can be used as a short rigid coupling in applications where standard length rigid couplings will not fit. The addition of a keyway allows for use in positive drive applications as a shaft collar or for extra torque capacity when used as a rigid coupling. Tightly controlled face to bore perpendicularity is maintained (TIR of < 0.002") which is critical when the collar is used as a load bearing face, mechanical stop, or for component alignment. The work surface is identified by one groove on the face allowing the user to easily identify which side is precision faced. The two-piece design allows this collar to be installed or serviced in-place without the need to remove adjacent components. Halves are mated throughout the manufacturing process for precise fit and increased holding power. This collar is stamped with the Ruland name and bore size for ease of identification. It is manufactured from 303 stainless steel to a fine burr-free finish with hardware of like material for consistent corrosion resistance. Hardware tests beyond ANSI standards for maximum holding power. It is RoHS and REACH compliant.
