The Ruland Keyed Shaft Collar is a high-performance component designed for demanding applications. Its unique clamp-style design provides superior holding power, is infinitely adjustable, and won't mar the shaft. With a 25mm bore and 8mm keyway, it's ideal for positive drive applications or as a short rigid coupling where standard length couplings won't fit. Its tightly controlled face-to-bore perpendicularity ensures precise alignment, and the two-piece design allows for in-place installation and servicing. Manufactured from lead-free steel with a fine burr-free finish, this collar is perfect for use in robotics, automation, and other industries where precision and reliability are paramount.
Top product features:
Infinitely adjustable to accommodate various shaft sizes
Has superior holding power compared to set screw collars
Maintains tightly controlled face to bore perpendicularity with a TIR of < 0.05mm
Top product applications:
Positive drive applications as a shaft collar
Load bearing face or mechanical stop
Short rigid coupling in applications where standard length rigid couplings will not fit
Ruland clamp style shaft collars do not mar the shaft, are infinitely adjustable, and have superior holding power when compared to set screw collars. This two-piece double wide shaft collar has a 25mm bore, 8mm keyway, 45mm OD, and 33mm width. It has about 25% more holding power than standard round bore collars of equivalent bore size and can be used as a short rigid coupling in applications where standard length rigid couplings will not fit. The addition of a keyway allows for use in positive drive applications as a shaft collar or for extra torque capacity when used as a rigid coupling. Tightly controlled face to bore perpendicularity is maintained (TIR of < 0.05mm) which is critical when the collar is used as a load bearing face, mechanical stop, or for component alignment. The work surface is identified by two grooves on the face allowing the user to easily identify which side is precision faced. The two-piece design allows this collar to be installed or serviced in-place without the need to remove adjacent components. Halves are mated throughout the manufacturing process for precise fit and increased holding power. This collar is stamped with the Ruland name and bore size for ease of identification. It is manufactured from 1215 lead-free steel to a fine burr-free finish with Ruland's proprietary black oxide formulation which creates a fine glossy appearance and increases holding power and corrosion resistance. Hardware tests beyond DIN 912 12.9 standards for maximum holding power. It is RoHS and REACH compliant.
