The Acme Threaded Collar from Ruland is a superior shaft collar designed for demanding applications. Its two-piece design allows for in-place installation and servicing, reducing downtime and increasing productivity. The collar's acme threading provides higher axial holding power, while its tightly controlled face-to-bore perpendicularity ensures precise load-bearing and component alignment. Made from 303 stainless steel, the collar offers consistent corrosion resistance and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Suitable for use in various industries, including aerospace, medical, and industrial equipment, this collar is ideal for applications requiring high precision, reliability, and durability.
Top product features:
Acme threading allows for higher axial holding power than traditional threaded collars.
The two-piece design allows this collar to be installed or serviced in-place without the need to remove adjacent components.
Threads are double tapped to ensure a burr-free finish which extends shaft life and allows for easier installation.
Top product applications:
Shaft alignment and positioning in machinery and equipment
Mechanical stops and limit switches
Load bearing face in precision applications such as robotics and medical devices
Ruland clamp style shaft collars do not mar the shaft, are infinitely adjustable, and have superior holding power when compared to set screw collars. This two-piece acme threaded shaft collar has a 3/8" - 16 TPI bore, 7/8" OD, and 0.343" width. Threads are double tapped to ensure a burr-free finish which extends shaft life and allows for easier installation. Acme threading allows for higher axial holding power than traditional threaded collars. Tightly controlled face to bore perpendicularity is maintained (TIR of < 0.002") which is critical when the collar is used as a load bearing face, mechanical stop, or for component alignment. The work surface is identified by one groove on the face allowing the user to easily identify which side is precision faced. The two-piece design allows this collar to be installed or serviced in-place without the need to remove adjacent components. Halves are mated throughout the manufacturing process for precise fit and increased holding power. This collar is stamped with the Ruland name and bore size for ease of identification. It is manufactured from 303 stainless steel to a fine burr-free finish with hardware of like material for consistent corrosion resistance. Hardware tests beyond ANSI standards for maximum holding power. It is RoHS and REACH compliant.
