The Ruland Keyed Shaft Collar is a precision-engineered solution for applications requiring high holding power and precise alignment. Its two-piece, double-wide design allows for installation and servicing in-place, minimizing downtime and disruption. The collar's stainless steel construction and fine burr-free finish ensure consistent corrosion resistance and durability. With its keyway and tightly controlled face-to-bore perpendicularity, this shaft collar is ideal for positive drive applications, load-bearing faces, and component alignment. Its compact size and adjustable design make it suitable for use as a short rigid coupling in applications where standard couplings won't fit, offering a versatile solution for a range of industries.
Top product features:
Keyed shaft collar does not mar the shaft.
Infinitely adjustable for precise fit.
Tightly controlled face to bore perpendicularity maintains accuracy.
Ruland clamp style shaft collars do not mar the shaft, are infinitely adjustable, and have superior holding power when compared to set screw collars. This two-piece double wide shaft collar has a 1.125" bore, 1/4" keyway, 1 7/8" OD, and 1 1/16" width. It has about 25% more holding power than standard round bore collars of equivalent bore size and can be used as a short rigid coupling in applications where standard length rigid couplings will not fit. The addition of a keyway allows for use in positive drive applications as a shaft collar or for extra torque capacity when used as a rigid coupling. Tightly controlled face to bore perpendicularity is maintained (TIR of < 0.002") which is critical when the collar is used as a load bearing face, mechanical stop, or for component alignment. The work surface is identified by one groove on the face allowing the user to easily identify which side is precision faced. The two-piece design allows this collar to be installed or serviced in-place without the need to remove adjacent components. Halves are mated throughout the manufacturing process for precise fit and increased holding power. This collar is stamped with the Ruland name and bore size for ease of identification. It is manufactured from 303 stainless steel to a fine burr-free finish with hardware of like material for consistent corrosion resistance. Hardware tests beyond ANSI standards for maximum holding power. It is RoHS and REACH compliant.
