This Ruland Keyed Shaft Collar is a precision-engineered solution for applications requiring high holding power and precise alignment. Its two-piece design allows for in-place installation and servicing, while the tightly controlled face-to-bore perpendicularity ensures accurate load bearing and component alignment. The addition of a keyway enables positive drive applications and increased torque capacity. Manufactured from 303 stainless steel, this collar offers consistent corrosion resistance and meets or exceeds DIN 912 12.9 standards for holding power. Suitable for use in mechanical stops, load-bearing faces, and as a rigid coupling, this shaft collar is ideal for applications in industries such as aerospace, medical devices, and precision machinery.
Top product features:
Infinitely adjustable design allows for precise fit and increased holding power
Tightly controlled face to bore perpendicularity is maintained (TIR of < 0.05mm) for critical applications
Addition of a keyway allows for use in positive drive applications as a shaft collar or for extra torque capacity when used as a rigid coupling
Top product applications:
Shaft alignment and positioning in precision machinery
Load bearing face in mechanical systems
Positive drive applications in power transmission systems
Ruland clamp style shaft collars do not mar the shaft, are infinitely adjustable, and have superior holding power when compared to set screw collars. This two-piece double wide shaft collar has a 10mm bore, 3mm keyway, 24mm OD, and 20mm width. It has about 25% more holding power than standard round bore collars of equivalent bore size and can be used as a short rigid coupling in applications where standard length rigid couplings will not fit. The addition of a keyway allows for use in positive drive applications as a shaft collar or for extra torque capacity when used as a rigid coupling. Tightly controlled face to bore perpendicularity is maintained (TIR of < 0.05mm) which is critical when the collar is used as a load bearing face, mechanical stop, or for component alignment. The work surface is identified by two grooves on the face allowing the user to easily identify which side is precision faced. The two-piece design allows this collar to be installed or serviced in-place without the need to remove adjacent components. Halves are mated throughout the manufacturing process for precise fit and increased holding power. This collar is stamped with the Ruland name and bore size for ease of identification. It is manufactured from 303 stainless steel to a fine burr-free finish with hardware of like material for consistent corrosion resistance. Hardware tests beyond DIN 912 12.9 standards for maximum holding power. It is RoHS and REACH compliant.
