This double wide keyed shaft collar from Ruland is a versatile and reliable component for various industrial applications. Its stainless steel construction and fine burr-free finish ensure consistent corrosion resistance and smooth operation. The collar's infinitely adjustable design and superior holding power make it ideal for use as a shaft collar or rigid coupling, while its tightly controlled face to bore perpendicularity maintains precise alignment. Suitable for applications where standard length rigid couplings won't fit, this collar is perfect for use in positive drive applications, as a mechanical stop, or as a load-bearing face. Its compact size makes it a great choice for space-constrained projects.
Top product features:
Infinitely adjustable to accommodate various shaft sizes
Maintains tightly controlled face to bore perpendicularity with a TIR of < 0.05mm
Manufactured from 303 stainless steel with a fine burr-free finish for consistent corrosion resistance
Top product applications:
Shaft positioning and alignment in precision machinery
Component alignment in high-precision applications
Load bearing face in mechanical systems requiring high torque capacity
Ruland clamp style shaft collars do not mar the shaft, are infinitely adjustable, and have superior holding power when compared to set screw collars. This one-piece double wide shaft collar has a 12mm bore, 4mm keyway, 28mm OD, and 24mm width. It has about 25% more holding power than standard round bore collars of equivalent bore size and can be used as a short rigid coupling in applications where standard length rigid couplings will not fit. The addition of a keyway allows for use in positive drive applications as a shaft collar or for extra torque capacity when used as a rigid coupling. Tightly controlled face to bore perpendicularity is maintained (TIR of < 0.05mm) which is critical when the collar is used as a load bearing face, mechanical stop, or for component alignment. The work surface is identified by two grooves on the face allowing the user to easily identify which side is precision faced. This collar is stamped with the Ruland name and bore size for ease of identification. It is manufactured from 303 stainless steel to a fine burr-free finish with hardware of like material for consistent corrosion resistance. Hardware tests beyond DIN 912 12.9 standards for maximum holding power. It is RoHS and REACH compliant.
