The Ruland Slit Coupling is a high-performance, zero-backlash coupling designed for demanding applications. Its balanced design and low inertia ensure reduced vibration at high speeds up to 12,000 RPM, while its aluminum construction provides high torsional stiffness and low bearing loads. Ideal for applications requiring high torque and misalignment capabilities, this long slit coupling can accommodate all forms of misalignment, protecting sensitive bearings. Suitable for use in precision machinery, medical devices, and other high-speed applications, this coupling offers a reliable and maintenance-free solution for engineers and manufacturers seeking to optimize their systems.
Top product features:
Zero-backlash design for reduced vibration at high speeds up to 12,000 RPM.
Single-piece aluminum construction for low inertia and high torsional stiffness.
Accommodates all forms of misalignment with low bearing loads to protect small sensitive bearings.
This Ruland supplied slit coupling is zero-backlash and has a balanced design for reduced vibration at high speeds up to 12,000 RPM. The coupling is made from a single piece of aluminum and has two sets of slit cuts allowing for low inertia, no maintenance, and high torsional stiffness when compared to beam couplings. It is set screw style and has 5mm x 0.188" bores, 0.512" (13.0mm) OD, and 0.787" (20.00mm) length. This long slit coupling has increased torque and misalignment capabilities when compared to short styles. It can accommodate all forms of misalignment with low bearing loads helping to protect small sensitive bearings. This slit coupling is manufactured by Reliance Precision Ltd. in their facility in County Cork, Ireland and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
