Precision Brand 22842 0.002" Type 316 Stainless Steel Shim Stock 12" x 50" Roll 22842

Precision brand 316 stainless steel shim is made from a soft (annealed) temper material. Type 316 stainless steel has better corrosion resistance to most chemicals salts acids and marine atmospheres due to an addition of 2.0 to 3.0 molybdenum. Fabrication characteristics of type 316 are similar to type 302 and type 304. Measures 12" wide by 50" long by 0.002" thick. Type 316 is used extensively in chemical and food processing equipment photographic pharmaceutical marine and textile finishing equipment.
