The Flexible Shaft Replacement Core, 6 ZG from PFERD is a high-performance component designed for demanding applications. Suitable for high-speed clockwise rotation, this core is made of multiple layers of wire and requires re-lubrication after approximately 100 operating hours. It's part of a modular system, allowing for easy handpiece changes and quick adaptation to various products. With its low noise emissions and ergonomic design, it enables continuous operation with minimal fatigue. Ideal for industries requiring precision and reliability, such as automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing, this core provides a reliable solution for demanding applications.
Top product features:
High-speed clockwise rotation is possible due to the specially designed flexible core made of four to ten layers of wire conforming to DIN 2076.
The sliding coupling enables quick handpiece changes.
Continuous operation with little fatigue is possible due to low noise emissions.
Top product applications:
High-speed clockwise rotation applications
High-speed drilling and milling applications
Power tool applications requiring high-speed rotation
Flexible shafts consist of three components which can be combined in different ways: the flexible core (SE), the flexible casing (SCH), the handpiece (HA). The flexible core is made of four to ten layers of wire, conforming to DIN 2076, and is specially designed for high-speed clockwise rotation. The coupling is securely press-fitted to the core. After approximately 100 operating hours, the core of the flexible shaft must be re-lubricated. The flexible casing consists of oil-resistant rubber with a flat steel spiral interior and a solid rubber exterior. The connection couplings are pressed on firmly and encased in a rubber sheath as reinforcement. The handpieces are light and easy to handle and cover a wide rotational speed range. Because of low noise emissions, continuous operation with little fatigue is possible. Replaceable collets or the special shank mounting for morse cones allow various products to be mounted. The sliding coupling enables quick handpiece changes.
