The justrite standard sure-grip® ex flammable safety cabinet with self-close doors (model 896020) is designed to safely store flammable liquids. Its exterior dimensions are 65 in h x 34 in w x 34 in d (1651 mm h x 864 mm w x 864 mm d). These yellow cabinets can store 60 gal (227 l) of flammable liquids. This model is constructed with a sturdy 18-gauge (1-mm) thick steel double-wall with 1.5 in (38 mm) of insulating air space for fire resistance. The fully welded not riveted construction holds the squareness of the unit for a longer life and offers greater protection in a fire since air gaps are reduced. High-performance self-closing doors open to 140 degrees. A patented concealed self-close mechanism provides obstruction-free access to shelf space. The doors self-index to guarantee they will close in tight sequence. Continuous piano hinges ensure the doors close smoothly every time. When used properly as designed safety cabinets with self-closing doors shut automatically in case of a fire. The self-closing doors under tension are held open by using fusible links. For added security each cabinet comes with an innovative u-loc™ handle that does not require manual rotation to engage the mandatory latch.
