It is useful in many applications demanding removal of various contaminants such as those found in bio-medical and laboratory instruments and glassware. Chem-crest 14 is a detergent concentrate and is freely water soluble. Typical contaminants removed chem-crest 14 is effective on oils greases blood tissues ointments lubricants buffing and lapping compounds fingerprints and airborne contaminants. Crest also offers an enzymatic version of chem-crest 14 called chem-crest 14ez for routine cleaning of biologically soiled instruments. Operating conditions chem crest 14 is typically used at 3 - 10 by volume in ultrasonic applications. Normal operating temperatures 120 - 170°f. Recommended rinsing water temperature 120 - 150°f dependent on the material makeup of the substrate and the contaminants being removed. Substrate compatibility chem crest 14 is safe on various metals such as carbon and stainless steels aluminum brass copper bronze and zinc glass plastics hard rubber articles and ceramics when used as directed.
