It is suitable for scouring seams and soldered joints. The black block base and ergonomic handle are made of plastic for durability. The durable nylon bristles are 1/2" long and white and they maintain their shape well and resist temperatures up to 350 degrees f. The overall dimensions are 7-1/4 x 1/2 inches (length x width). All brush material is free of bpa (bisphenol a) to address safety concerns raised by the u.S. Food and drug administration (fda) and other organizations.
