Therm-X-Trol expansion tanks are designed to absorb thermal expansion in domestic water systems, preventing pressure increases that can cause relief valve discharge and hazardous conditions. The antimicrobial liner neutralizes bacteria on contact, while the patent-pending turbulator water diffuser ensures efficient water flow. With a 50 psi precharge, deep drawn steel domes, and a thick diaphragm, these tanks provide added strength and reliability. Ideal for use in water heater systems, they meet CA and VT low lead standards and are NSF 61 approved. They are also required by water heater manufacturers and plumbing codes for systems with backflow preventors, pressure reducing valves, or check valves.
