This 4-inch incandescent housing from Lithonia is designed for new construction applications, suitable for recessed lighting in 2x8 and 2x6 joist spaces. It features a galvanized steel pan, aluminum can, and junction box with built-in Romex clamps and ground wire, making it airtight and easy to install. The housing is rated for 90°C and comes with factory-installed captive bar hangers that span up to 24 inches. It's ideal for use in ceilings up to 1-1/2 inches thick and is approved for direct burial in insulation and various ceiling types. It's also UL-listed for safety.
