3m™ scotch-brite™ cut and polish wheel 8" x 2" x 3" med grit aluminum oxide scotch-brite™ cut and polish wheels are built for aggressive blending and finishing applications. Harder than other finishing wheels our cut and polish wheels are good for defect removal or heavy scratch blending and produces a finish with a tight scratch pattern. Scotch-brite™ cut and polish wheels use aluminum oxide abrasive which is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges. Due to its fast cut-rate hardness and strength it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking including ferrous alloys. Our scotch-brite™ industrial abrasives are a unique surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or other synthetic fibers.
