Veratics offers Agile Coaching and Mentoring for all project requirements, not just for software development. In 2015, CMMI® Institute reported that over 70% of the companies that were CMMI appraised were using Agile. Agile is a simple but rigorous methodology. Our Agile methodology is a robust implementation of Agile and is described above in Table 1. This Agile Methodology is already in use in the VA and is based upon the following fundamental principles: Empirical Process Control: The ideas of transparency, inspection, and adaptation prevent large deviations from customer and stakeholder expectations. Communication issues are detected and addressed early. Self-organization: We create an innovative and creative environment that fosters personal growth, team buy-in, and shared ownership to stabilize and increase delivery velocity and maximize customer value. Collaboration: We view project management as a shared value-creation process. Teams work together and interact to deliver the greatest value. Value-based Prioritization: Starting early in the project and continuing throughout, this principle focuses on Agile delivery to deliver maximum business value. Time-boxing: This principle focuses on time as a limiting constraint in Agile delivery. Timeboxes help effectively manage project planning and execution. Time-boxed elements in Agile delivery include Sprints, Daily Standup Meetings, Sprint Planning Meetings, and Sprint Review Meetings. Iterative Delivery: This principle defines iterative development and emphasizes how to better manage changes and build products that satisfy customer needs. It also delineates the Product Owners and organizations responsibilities related to iterative development. Our preference for the Agile methodology was developed by working as a key contributor since 2014 for the VAs flagship program for Agile transformation (eHMP) in VA OI&T and VHA. Veratics has also been on contract with Highmark, Inc. since 2013. Highmark is one of the largest integrated healthcare delivery systems in the United States and is comparable in size (5.2 million members) and scope (both a payer and provider) to the VA. Veratics is a critical partner in moving Highmark from a waterfall delivery model to an Agile Delivery Model. In summary, Veratics preferred methodology is already in use in the VA and we have executed that methodology for a large organization comparable in size and scope to the VA.
