It features durable, non-woven fiber construction that conforms well on irregular or contoured surfaces without undercutting or damaging the base material. The open-web material also runs cool and resists loading, while the evenly distributed aluminum oxide abrasives produce a high cut-rate for consistent finishing. As a tough, durable abrasive, aluminum oxide self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. In addition to a high cut-rate, the aluminum oxide mineral offers hardness, strength, and low heat retention for use in grinding applications. Use in woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. Also suitable for composite, plastics, and other materials.
