The bits have a single cutting spur that scribes the edge of the hole to produce clean holes with a smooth finish, and they have open spiral flutes that provide efficient chip removal. Each bit has a self-feeding tip that pulls the bit into the workpiece and helps prevent it from moving, or walking, during drilling.
