What happens when my order is backordered?

If your order has been updated with the status of Backordered, it means that the estimated delivery date for your order is expected to be pushed out beyond the standard 7-10 business days for more GoVets Orders.  This may happen due to several reasons, such as low stock availability, items that are known to be shipped directly from the manufacturers, etc.  

If you receive this status, you have the option to request a cancellation for your order or to continue waiting for the backordered item(s) to ship and ensure your items are reserved and delivered according to the estimated delivery timelines of the backorder.  If you have any questions, contact our support team.

As part of the GoVets Terms of Use that customers agree to when signing up for an account and making a purchase, if your order becomes backordered, then you consent to GoVets charging your payment method until such time as you cancel the applicable order.
